Monetary benefit extended by the Flags of Honour Foundation in Sept 2010.
- Monetary benefit of Rs 10,000/- was extended on 21 Sep 2010 to Smt Pushpa Vanti, Widow of
late Major Dharam Chand of the Indian Army residing at, 123, Roorkee Road, Opp. RVC Officer's Mess, Meerut Cantt.-250001, (UP).
- Monetary benefit extended as under on 22 Sep 2010 to a destitute widow, Smt Lila Devi, W/O No 2855263 late Sep Satpal Singh,6 Rajput, Indian Army , a non-pensioner, residing at Vill. &PO SANGHOL, Khumano, Fatehgarh Sahib Distt.,, Punjab.:
(a) A grant of Rs 2000/- per month to Smt Lila Devi for life.
(b) An educational allowance to her ward (Grand daughter, whose father had died before she was born and her mother had died immediately after her birth) of Rs 500/- per month till she completes her graduation who is studying in her second year degree course.
(c) A one time grant of Rs 10,000/- to repair her house.
- Monetary benefit of Rs 1 lakh (one time) extended on 16 December 2010 to Smt Shreedevi (Mother), residing at Narohana village, Alland Taluk, Gulbarga District for her son Constable Bheemshankar of 25 Bn BSF Battalion making the supreme sacrifice on 29th August, 2010 while fighting naxalites in a conflict at Chattsigarh.
- Monetary benefit of Rs 1 lakh (one time) extended on16 December 2010 to Smt S Sharada (Mother) residing at Village Bengunada Badaga, Cherambane PO Madikeri, Kodagu Distt., Karnataka, for her son Rifleman K. S Ravindra, # Madras, Indian Army making the supreme sacrifice on 6th Sept., 2010, while fighting terrorists in a conflict at border area Kimsar, J&K.

CRPF jawan Shivappa
Flags of Honour Foundation presents a cheque for Rs. 2 Lakhs to BS Nethravathi, widow of CRPF jawan Shivappa, who was one of the 75 CRPF men killed by Naxals in Chattisgarh on April 06, 2010.

Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan
First beneficiary of the Flags of Honour Foundation is Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's family. He is a brave Martyr who sacrificed his life while fighting terrorists in the November 2008 Mumbai attacks. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's bravery and valour was honoured with the Ashoka Chakra on January 26, 2009.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar presented a cheque of Rs. 25 Lakhs to Mr. Unnikrishnan Senior at their residence on January 26th 2009. |

Colonel Jojan Thomas
Second beneficiary of the Flags of Honour Foundation is Colonel Jojan Thomas's family. He is a brave soldier who was martyred in an encounter with militants in Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lt. General Satish Nambiar (retd) (PVSM, AVSM, VrC), presented a cheque of Rs. 5 Lakhs to Colonel Thomas's family. |
